:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Douglas Wood -- Great Classic : A great classic book a head of it's time. It makes you think about how dumb it is to think of another race as lesser than. Good price. ( Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2021 )
- 3.0 out of 5 stars from Rebecca P. Bakhaus -- VERY SMALL PRINT! : The book itself is wonderful. The type is ridiculously small. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2019 )

- 4.0 out of 5 stars from purrkz -- Four Stars : Twain was so far ahead of his time that this novel still reads well. ( Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2016 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Twain on Race. : I read this book as a young man, over thirty years ago. TwaIn's observations about race absolutely riveting. Nature vs. Nurture. Conclusions that were as shocking as they were and are relevant, even today. Beyond that, just good old fashioned Twain. Observations on life as little old story, as comfortable as a worn shoe. Engaging, lots of wrinkles, twists and turns, interesting, developed characters, and great social commentary. ( Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2015 )

- 1.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- Amazon should be ashamed! DO NOT BUY! : A scam and a disgrace. Poor old Mark Twain would turn in his grave! Obviously printed from some automatic machine with vast passages that are absolutely unreadable drivel! It is like a foreigner with a computerised English language translator which gives you several meanings for a word, and each one is picked randomly with no consideration of sense. - 4.0 out of 5 stars from Christine Ulyyan -- Great book, poorly packaged : Amusing and satirical black comedy that I only chose because of my book club but happy to have read it. However, this particular publication has extremely small print. Taxing on the eyes - thought it might be just me but when I took it to book club the others all agreed.
